Corji
Manuela Corji (Medellin, 2000) is an artist who lives and works in
the Dominican Republic. Her practice centers on figurative painting,
exploring everyday life through compositions charged with irony, humor,
and distortion. Her works depict scenes in which celebration, intimacy,
and social rituals take on an ambiguous quality, oscillating between the
comic and the unsettling. Through a deliberately exaggerated aesthetic,
Corji constructs images in which the familiar becomes strange and the
everyday reveals itself as deeply performative.
